Pardon the quality of the music. Most tracks came from 4th generation
copies off tape. (excuses?) This CD was put together as an
experiment (original burn in 1996).
I have, in one way or another, participated in every song on this album.
Some of which I have performed and composed myself (1989-1995) as ideas. I
hope those who listen will enjoy it.
Musicians:
Shane
Craig
Ted
Karlisha
Tracks:
1. Friends Forever - Just
after graduating high school, I joined up w/ a garage band. I hooked up w/
Shane (the rhythm guitarist/singer) to put together this wedding present for a
high school friend.
2. Echoes of My Mind
- Shane threw together some lyrics for this sequenced lick I was messing with; also vintage high school stuff.
3. Message to You - Same
story as track 2.
4. PCP - With very little arrangement,
this was another slopped together idea while play'n around w/ the new keyboard at the time.
5. Sunday Wake - The name
doesn't really link up w/ any funerals. I woke up on a Sunday and came up
with this one morning.
6. Feel the Night - First
project working in Ted and Craig's home studio. Craig had done most of the
driving on this project. I got to do a little jamming on the keyboard and
sing but Craig did just about everything else. There's some pretty neat
ideas on this one.
7. Live Cut! - True live cut.
Craig used to work as a radio station DJ.
8. Everyday - This was an afternoon
project Ted and I came up with. Like track 6, I played the piano and sang.
Ted laid down the rest of the instruments and did the harmony.
9. Wistful 2 - I found this on
one of my tapes and felt that it was worth while to add in.
10. Senior Medley 1/2 - This
is the 1st half of my Senior Follies performance in high school.
11. Karlisha's Song -
Karlisha (Ted's roomate at the time) is a singer/song writer and wanted to
record one of her songs. Ted asked me to play the keyboard for this song.
I got in one afternoon to learn the song and we recorded the keyboard and drums.
Ted and Craig finished the rest of the instruments (bass, guitar, strings).
Last, Karlisha came in and they finished recording the rest of the vocals.
